Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By signing in to Fane using Google or Microsoft OAuth, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Fane is a free, browser-based inbox management tool. It connects to your email account via OAuth to identify large messages and files for potential deletion. All scanning and AI processing runs locally in your browser — no email content is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Free Service

Fane is offered at no cost. Account creation via Google or Microsoft SSO is required to access the application. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future with advance notice.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google or Microsoft account. Fane uses OAuth tokens to access your email and drive on your behalf. You may revoke access at any time through your Google or Microsoft account settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Fane to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise the service
  • Use automated scripts to access Fane beyond normal use
  • Circumvent any rate limits or security controls

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Fane is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular email action (trash, archive, unsubscribe) will succeed. You are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming any bulk email actions before they are executed.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fane and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any unintended deletion of emails or files.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Fane after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
